Things you'd really rather not be doing today ...
... like having to go to the Citizen's Advice Bureau, because it's very likely that I will be made redundant in four weeks time, updating my CV, ringing round job agencies. Deep joy ...
where the only stress is caused by a vain attempt to use up all the yarn I've acquired ... or hello, I'm Mary-Lou, and I haven't thought about knitting for at least two minutes ...! Fellow addicts, feel free to contact me and sympathise, at mlq AT talktalk DOT net

That's really not very nice at all! :-( Wishing you lots of luck in sorting it all out and crossed fingers that it's all going to turn out right for you.
Oh poo, how miserable - hope the nice people at the CAB will help. Keep smiling.

So sorry about this, Mary-Lou. I'll keep my fingers mentally crossed for you.
Oh no, yuck. My fingers are crossed for you!
Definitely a not nice situation. I'd been with my firm 3 years when they just booted me out 3 weeks into my notice period. If you don't mind temping though it should be an okay season with holidays etc coming up.
Sorry to hear about the job, not a pleasant situation to be in. I have an interview on the 19th for the the job I have been doing for past 2 years!!!!!! Congratulations on your prize from "Simply knitting" looking forward to seeing it in the next issue.

Urgh. Not much fun at all. Stay positive - I'm sure you have a lot to offer an potential employers (even though interviews and CV updating are not fun). Good luck.
